Adam and Eve lived with God in the garden. They talked with Him, sat with Him, and listened to Him.

Adam and Eve lived with God in the garden. They talked with Him, sat with Him, and listened to Him and His stories. As a result, Adam and Eve, knew God well.

They knew God so well, that they even recognized the sound of His footsteps.

Genesis 3:8 says:

"And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden."

Have you ever heard someone walking into a room and you knew who walked in although you never saw them? It seems safe to say that you know someone quite well if you know who it was  based solely on the sound of their footsteps.

Adam and Eve knew God that well. And that is what God wants for you as well.

God wants us to close the door to our room and pray to Him who is unseen.

You may not be able to hear the sound of His footsteps, but the Bible says you can know the sound of His voice.

Spend time getting to know God well for He already knows you well.

God already knew why Adam ran and hid. He did not have to hire a personal investigator to find out. Yet Adam explained why he ran in Genesis 3:10:

"So he said, 'I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.'"

Being naked was not the only reason he hid. It seems a little silly to only tell God part of the truth when He already knows it all, right?

Like how God knew everything about Adam, He knows everything about you.

There is no need to run or hide or not talk to Him about certain sins of yours.

God wants you to talk to Him about the difficult things and He will reward you for it if you do.

The Holy Spirit says: "Bring it to Me. I already know. Now let's fix it."

Jesus also adds:

"My Children, I do know you very well.

Do not be scared of Me - as if I will strike you with a lightening bolt. That is not meant for you, but for My enemies and those who want to harm you. See, I am on your side.

Come to Me and let's talk.

Bring your problems and let's fix it.

Don't be ashamed for that is from the enemy - he wants you to live in your sin.

Come to Me, My Children."
